Soda blast ,all the edges and likely rust areas . I only sand blast removeable mechanical parts .
Dont use crushed glass
Use garnet on mechanical bits medium size
use glass bead ,walnut, soda on vehicle

Paint stripper belongs on panel work with no seams or lap joints . If it seeps under join
1/ removes all rust protection between lap joint
2/ neutralizing requires water which starts corrosion
3/ if the stripper remains , will strip newly applied paint
