Default Re: Covid 19 -

Data valid as at 00:00 GMT week ending October 6th 2023.

4,701 new cases for Australia and 21 deaths so the CMR is 0.194% (-)
NZ reported 2,967 cases and 21 deaths for a CMR of 0.196% (-)
115,819 new cases in the USA this week and 1,382 deaths for a CMR of 1.083% (UP)
South America passes 69M cases
Global cases pass 696M.

Global case numbers are up to 316,904 this week compared to the 308,093 last week and the number of deaths increased from 2,076 last week to 2,652 this week. I’ve shortened the time frame to 6 months for the graphs below to make the movements clearer.

Australia / New Zealand
NSW Predictive Trend

VIC Predictive Trend

Other States Predictive Trend

NSW had 1,392 more cases than Victoria last week;
Victoria recorded 35 more cases than the previous week;
NSW recorded 691 less;
Queensland had 35 less;
WA recorded 35 more;
SA recorded 91 less; and
New Zealand recorded 31 less.

The week totalled 4.701 cases, a 15.2% decrease on last week but we are clearly under-reporting cases because the CMR the last few weeks has been well above the long-term.

.. trends over the last 3 months:
