“Blurred Lines”, the album, was released 30 July, 2013…
“The Smurfs 2” was released 31 July, 2013…
It is my belief that Pharrell placed an Easter egg in “Blurred Lines” (“hey, Gargamel!”) for the Smurfs.
He did, if you recall, make “Happy” for the Minions just the next year.
It’s for the Smurfs.
