OK, I’m not trying to be sarcastic but it’s worth having a read on Anderson plugs. They’re well known in the 4x/off-road crowd. It would be my choice.

Broadmeadows made basic provision for extra wiring, here’s where you put a 6mm eye on your cable and clamp it under the bolt head, above the existing eye:



Overall location view. This cable is permanently live, so long as the battery is connected:



Your eyelet goes to one side of the empty fuse position below. Fuse and relay female terminals are pretty much 1/4” spades with a locking tab. You withdraw the white inserts upwards before fitting the terminals from below, and refit after to secure the whole lot.



Cable sizing reckoner is here, if you want to work it from scratch. Lengths of cable required are always longer than you think!
