From memory, the story was the earlier version of the bonnet bulge shown in the pictures above was less aerodynamic. This was something that affected its ability in V8 Supercars. I
think that was the story.
I actually prefer the pre-production bonnet. Those pre-production FPV GT and Pursuit images also lack the tri-slot splitter with accent colour.
