Hi ,Happy New Year to all. I am new to forum although have been a browser and learnt allot from threads.I had an XB fairmont wagon,great car ,sold it to a restorer,now have EL, with transmission woes,problem was ,sometimes trans would not change into 3rd,it would go back to 1st. After 2 services,replaced solenoids,new TPS,new transducer,new inhibitor switch,another
ECU,changed relays,new earth's,lots of frustration and scratching of head,problem still there.However today I jiggled the round harness connection a bit and it has come good,nice and smooth changes, so tomorrow it's off to the wreckers for a wiring loom . Also I noticed left headlight globe was loose and needed to be pushed and turned for a tight fit. I hope this will fix it,both mechanic and trans specialist said the problem was electrical,even though there were no codes showing.
