Tuning by using af ratio's is sometimes a bit hit and miss. Using those parameters sometimes you can leave a bit on the table.
I try to tune so that the engine is making the most power and with alloys that can be 13.5 or so . It looks lean but that is where they make the best power.
I saw the same with my old 3V's russ,ran best a bit to the lean side..
