Yep its an AUII versus AUI wiring issue.
The unit you got is AUII they have darker interiors.
Ford changed the dash wiring loom for certain and I have come unstuck matching an AUI
ecu wiring colour codes to an AUII myself.
I can't help but suggest lots of bedtime reading of AUI and AUII wiring diagrams will have it sorted out.
